The "date" value is not present anymore in the JSON returned for Google News search. In the playground, one can see that in the Google News web interface the date is still present, but it's not in the JSON results.
This is quite a bad and urgent bug in my opinion.
SERPAPI is a paid service, the JSON elements should be quite stable, or users should be alerted immediately about any change.
News without a date are quite useless... (besides the fact that we realized this only today after someone noticed the date browsing was not working...).
